Continuing with my theme of symbols of power in Ancient Rome, I designed 5 scarves. I continued to illustrate Roman metalwork and architectural details as motifs, and also added elements from Roman mosaics and frescoes, which also inspired the colors for this collection. True to the theme these motifs include, gold jewelry, weaponry, and of course the lion (which I pulled from my previous project) that is seen as a symbol of power not just in Ancient Rome but in many other cultures as well. My goal was that, together these elements would become a classical design, reminiscent of Rome and the long lasting influence it has had on art, a testament to the power of an ancient empire.
